If you have failed to complete Amarnath Yatra Registration beforehand, then you can try on-spot registration at the last minute.
The facility of Amarnath Yatra on-spot registration has been opened only a few years back by SASBand the number of quotas depends on the number of vacant quotas after normal registration.
The total number of Amarnath Yatra registration quotas for a particular day is 15,000, i.e. 7,500 from Pahalgam route and 7,500 from Baltal route. If the total number of registrations falls short of 15,000, on-spot registration is done for the number of vacant seats available.
As there is limited quota, the availability of seats is uncertain in on-spot registration. Hence, we recommended that you try to do normal registration either online or offline to get the Yatra Permit (YP).
Check Amarnath Yatra Registration Form for more information.
Usually, sadhus and mahatmas can be seen in the queue for Amarnath Yatra on-spot registration. The queue is long and Amarnath Yatra registration can take up to 8-12 hours or a day.
