Helicopter services for Amarnath Yatra 2019 are available from two routes- Neelgrath/ Baltal route and Pahalgam route.

Helicopter journey to Amarnath Temple is a good option as the yatra is quite challenging. Every year thousands of pilgrims undertake the holy Amarnath Yatra. This year the yatra will start on 1st July 2019 and conclude on 15th August 2019.

How to Book Helicopter Tickets for Amarnath Yatra 2019

You can book helicopter tickets for Amarnath Yatra 2019 online from the websites of the companies that has been approved by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) to provide helicopter services for Amarnath Yatra 2019.

The number of tickets available per day is limited to 500-2000. With around 12,000-15,000 pilgrims having darshan per day, we advise you to book helicopter tickets well in advance and get it confirmed.

The fare from Neelgrath route is cheaper as the route is comparatively shorter than Pahalgam route. The distance covered from Pahalgam route is about 48 km whereas the distance covered from Baltal route is about 15 km.

Amarnath Temple Helicopter Services Guidelines

  • People taking helicopter services to Panchtarni do not have to go through the registration process at the bank branches in order to obtain Yatra Permit (YP).
    The Helicopter Tickets are treated as Yatra Permits for the yatra.
  • However, Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) duly filled from the designated doctors or health centres is mandatory before boarding for the helicopter.

  • Maximum of 5 tickets can be booked from a single Credit/Debit Card. The Credit/Debit card once used for booking cannot be used again for the next 3 weeks.
    Pilgrims should bring the Credit/Debit card used for booking at the time of issuing the Boarding Pass.
  • Only people between the ages of 13-75 years are allowed to undertake the pilgrimage. Children below 13 years of age and elderly above 75 years of age are not permissioned to undertake the pilgrimage.
  • Women more than 6 weeks pregnant are also not allowed to undertake the pilgrimage.
  • If you are taking the Pahalgam route then you must board from Pahalgam Helipad and if you are taking the Baltal route then you must board from Baltal Helipad.
  • Make sure that you reach at the given time and strictly follow the instructions given by the helicopter operator.
  • Getting helicopter tickets on your desired dates are in itself difficult. So, do not bother about the timings of the helicopter service as long as you get tickets for your ideal date.
