Amarnath Yatra is an annual pilgrimage that takes place every year to the revered Amarnath cave in the Jammu and Kashmir, India. Pilgrims visiting Amarnath Yatra must do Amarnath Yatra registration to take yatra. Registration for Amarnath Yatra could be done online/ offline.

Registration Dates for Amarnath Yatra 2025

Although Amarnath Yatra starts in July month each year, but registration process starts for Amarnath Yatra in April month. Even before this offline application forms are available to download for Amarnath Yatra registration and online registration starts for a limited number of pilgrims.

Amarnath Yatra 2025 Applications forms are available from April 2025 and conclude on 31st May 2025.

How to Register for Amarnath Yatra 2025?

As this place is located in a critical zone with extreme climatic conditions, registration is compulsory to visit Amarnath Temple. After registration, you will be issued Yatra Permit (YP).

For registration, you will need 4 passport size photographs, Registration Form, and Compulsory Health Certificate which you will have to fill in and submit at the Registration Counter.

There are over 400 bank branches that serve as the registration counters for the pilgrims.

Pilgrims traveling via Helicopter do not have to get their registration done separately. They only need their photographs and health certificate.

Note: Amarnath Yatra 2025 registration and issuance of Yatra Permits (YP) will be done on the “First Come, First Serve” basis.

Documents Required For Amarnath Yatra Registration

For Issuance of Yatra Permit (YP), you have to submit the following documents-

4 Passport size Photographs
Duly filled in Amarnath Yatra Registration form & Compulsory Health Certificate, which can be downloaded by visiting Amarnath Yatra 2025 Registration Form & CHC Form .
Compulsory Health Certificate from authorized doctor, obtained after April, 2025. The format of Compulsory Health Certificate can be download from the link given above.

Step-By-Step Guide to Register for Amarnath Yatra 2025?

Download the Amarnath Yatra Registration form and Compulsory Health Certificate. Take the printouts of both forms and duly fill them.
Each states and union territories have their list of authorized doctors to issue health certificate. Here are the list of Authorized Doctor to issue the Health Certificate. You have to download the list for your state/UT either in English or Hindi and a full list of doctors with their locations will be available to you.
The registration is done in 446 authorized bank branches. Here are the locations of the Nearest Amarnath Yatra Registration Counter/Bank Branch.
Once you obtain the Compulsory Health Certificate, deposit it with your duly filled registration form with self-signed passport photograph pasted on it in the nearest authorized bank for Amarnath Yatra registration.
Registration Fee: Along with the form, you have to pay Rs.220/- as the registration charges for the Yatra.
Once your form is accepted and everything is in order (i.e. your registration form and Compulsory Health Certificate), then you will be issued Yatra Permit (YP) for undertaking the 2025 Amarnath Yatra.
The Yatris will be given colourful Permit Cards as coded for different days of the Amarnath Yatra and for different routes.

Amarnath Yatra registration online 2025 is being done through Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board official website http://jksasb.nic.in/

Amarnath Yatra online registration is an easy process and needs the following things for successful registration

Desktop/ Laptop/ Mobile with working internet connection
Photographs (digital/ scanned)
Compulsory Health Certificate (digital/ scanned)
Internet Banking for payment of application fees

Step-by-Step Guide to Online Register for Amarnath Yatra 2025?

1. Visit the Amarnath Yatra online registration website http://jksasb.nic.in/
2. Fill the registration form and upload the documents needed.
3. Verify the mobile number using OTP received
4. After the application process, a confirmation sms will be sent on mobile
5. Pay the Application Fees online
6. Registration complete, Download the Yatra Permit

Steps for Online Registration of Amarnath Yatra

Note: Without the Yatra Permit (YP), pilgrims will not be allowed to partake in Amarnath Yatra.

Pilgrims intending to perform Amarnath Yatra by helicopter need not to do any registration but they will have to obtain the Compulsory Health Certificate.
