Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board endeavors to offer a neat and clean resting place to the pilgrims visiting the Vaishno Devi Mata Mandir. As lakhs of devotees travel to Vaishno Devi, the board always tries to provide adequate space to yatris where they can rest and spend the night. Many neat and clean resting places at Vaishno Devi are been offered by Shrine Board.
As many pilgrims have to wait for their darshan, various halls and rest houses have been developed at Sanjichatt, Bhawana, and Ardhkuwari. These rooms are available free of cost on the first-come first-served basis. The first person who arrives will get the room. Pilgrims can freely relax in these rooms and spend the night. Clean toilet facilities are also available in these rooms.
Apart from this various toilet blocks, blanket stores, bhojanalayas, catering units, medical aid center has also been opened for the pilgrims which are nearby to these accommodation units.
If one prefers rented accommodation, well clean rooms on rent by Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board are also been offered for the convenience of the pilgrims. These rooms are clean and charge economical prices. Accommodation at Jammu is available at Vaishnavi Bhawan, Kalika Dham and Saraswati Dham near Railway Station. At Katra, you can stay at Niharika Yatra Niwas, Shakti Bhawan, and Ashirwad Bhawan or at private hotels. In Katra, one can stopover at Trikuta Bhawan, a 700 bedded accommodation. Dormitory accommodation is also available at Jammu, Katra and Adhikuwari Bhawan. Yatris can also plan to stay at Adkuwari, Main Bhawan and Sanjichatt.
You can reserve the rooms/dormitories at Shrine Board Guest House in advance at Enquiry and Reservation Center of the Board at Niharika Complex. One can also book the room online. In the peak season it gets difficult to get a room, so it is better to book the rooms in advance.
