The main deity of the temple is dedicated to Lord Shani, The deity was inaugurated in the year of 2003 by the Anant Shree Vibhushit Jagat Guru Shankracharya Swami Madhavasharam Ji Maharaj.

Shani dham temple is located at the Chattarpur Mandir Road, near Asola, south Delhi area. The temple has the world’s largest Shani idol. The whole atmosphere and the environment of the temple get purify through the vibration of mantras. All the Pooja material is available in the temple complex. No pooja material allowed from outside the temple due to security reasons. There are many other shrines of Lord Hanuman, Shiv, Goddess Jagdamba is established in the temple.

There is no pandit or priest between the devotee and Lord Shani. The doors of the temple open every day. The day of Saturday is dedicated to Lord Shani that’s why Saturday is a most rushed day at Shani Mandir Chattarpur.

Architecture Of Shani Dham Temple

The architecture of the temple is simple. The temple is coated with red paint. The walls of the temple are carved by the skilled artisan. White marvel has been stone used on the floor. There is an idol of Lord Hanuman on the right side of Lord Shani’s idol.

The Shani mandir Delhi has the world’s largest statue of Shani. There is a very large building on the eastern side of Shila, with the establishment of 12 Jyotirlingas. At the top of this building, the very large idol of Shani Dev’s metal is also visible. On the west side, Lord Shani is sitting on the buzz and the vulture.

There is another big building west of the building. There are many religious rituals in that building and all the meetings related to meditation are also organized in the same building.

Festivals In Shani Dham Temple

  • Shani Amavasya
    On each Shani Amavasya, rituals such as ‘Pitra Dosh’ and ‘Kaal Sarpa Dosh’ are performed at Shani Dham to God. On this day special worship and ‘Telabhishek’ (bathing the idol of God Shani with mustard oil) are performed.

    Navratri also celebrated at the Shani Dham temple with special aarti.
