Chittaranjan Park Kali mandir is situated in the Chittaranjan Park in New Delhi. It is also a Bengali cultural center. Initially, it was a temple of Lord Shiva and built-in 1973. Later the temple of Kali Mata and Lord Krishna were added. The complex is on the edge of a small hill. It is famous for the annual Durga pooja among the Bengali people.
The temple its first Durga Pooja in the year of 1977 and it is continued till date. There are many other structures like Dharmshala and Canteen available in the complex. The Dharamshala has 30 bedded with attach bathrooms. You can get the food from the canteen at very minimal rates. In this canteen, you can get both veg or non-vegetarian food. Every day a musical fountains show displays to the visitors.
The temple is established in 1973 by Local residents of the CR Park, EPDP (East Pakistan Displaced Persons)Colony. During the time of Partition in 1947, lots of East Pakistani Bengali people migrated to Delhi. For those people, the EPDP colony has granted by the government. On the day of 25th April 1974 a small shiv linga established in the temporary shed. The idol of the Maa Kali was Established in 1985. And the Radha Krishna Idol was established in 1994. Later it becomes the cultural hub for the Bengali community of the Delhi. The complex is on the edge of a small hill. The complex is surrounded by a garden.
The entire Mandir complex has unique Bengal Terracotta temple architecture.

Durga pooja is one of the biggest festivals in Chittaranjan Park kali mandir. Durga Pooja festivals celebrate the victory of Maa Durga over the devil Mahisasur. Lots of local people join the Festivals.
Mahashivratri also celebrated in the mandir complex. The mandir society arranges the Jagran for all night. It is believed that Lord shiva saves the universe from the darkness.
Apart from this many other festivals celebrates by the Mandir Society like Ram Navami, Holi Milan.
Mahakali Mandir society organizes many other social and cultural activities. The society arranges an interstate cultural competition. It also organizes an annual sports day for the children. The Chittaranjan park kali mandir society runs free Homeopathy and Naturopathy Dispensaries. It also runs a yoga center, a library with 5000 books, weekly Bengali speaking classes.
