Maya Devi Temple in Haridwar is an ancient temple known as one of the shakti peethas in India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Adhisthatri. Maya Devi Temple is beckoned by interesting history. It is believed that the heart and navel of goddess Sati fell here. Goddess Maya - the Adhisthatri deity worshipped in the temple is a three-headed and four-armed Goddess who is believed to be an incarnation of Shakti.
