Badrinath Temple is a Hindu Temple in Uttarakhand dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This town and the temple itself are a part of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Because of the extreme weather conditions in the Himalayan Region, this temple is open for six months every year for worship.
According to a famous legend, here Lord Vishnu decided to meditate and Goddess Lakshmi protected him from the extreme weather using a Badri Tree, and thus this name of the temple came into being. The highly decorated temple in Hinduism welcomes devotees from across the world to visit at least once in their lifetime.
