Vaishno Devi Pooja

It is the immense faith for Hindu Goddess that makes people travel from all corners of the world to holy shrine of Vaishno Devi. People with great spiritual spirit undertake the journey and offer pay reverence by offering prayers at the holy shrine. Looking at this love & belief for the goddess, a proper pooja system has been brought in by the Shrine Board. This new system of prayers complies with the prayer system followed at various other religious sites.

There are two types of poojan system offered at Vaishno Devi shrine:

1. Individual Poojan
2. Shraddha Suman Vishesh Pooja

Individual Poojan at Vaishno Devi

In this pooja, holy Hawan or Pooja takes place in the Yagya-shalla every morning. Desirous devotee can take part in this Hawan. In the Hawan name, gotra of the devotees are recited. And prayers are offered for the welfare and prosperity of the individual and his families. People who are not able to take the Vaishno Devi Yatra can also take part in the pooja. Their physical presence is not required as poojan in their name is performed. After offering the puja and prayers in their name, Prashad is sent to them by post.

The details of individual poojan are as follows:

Category A (Devotees need NOT be physically present)

Cost: Rs. 2,100

In this pooja, devotee need not to be physically present. Only the registration is required. Pooja takes place in the name of the registered devotee. The maximum limit for the names of the family members that can be given for the puja are five. Given names are recited during the puja. Prashadam is delivered to the devotee through courier or post.

Facility for booking for the pooja remains open throughout the year. You can book in advance for the pooja. One can also book on current basis that depends on the slot availability.

Category B (Devotees need to be present)

Cost: Rs. 11,000

For this pooja, person is required to be physically present for the puja. Maximum five people can attend this puja, which includes four family members and one devotee himself/herself. One can opt for advance booking or spot booking (depends on available slots).

If the devotee did not reach for the puja in time then their claims get forfeited. Every devotee must make sure that they reach Mata ka Bhawan, Room No. 8 before 8 AM.

Shraddha Suman Vishesh Pooja at Vaishno Devi

In this puja, devotees get the privilege of witnessing the auspicious Aarti Darshan of the Goddess Vaishno Devi. Devotees are otherwise not allowed to witness the aarti.

The details of Shraddha Suman Vishesh Pooja are as follows:

Category A

Cost: Rs. 26,000

No. of Persons Allowed:  1

Facilities offered under the package:

1. Aarti Darshan for one Person.
2. One two bedded AC Room in Niharika free of cost.
3. One two bedded room at Bhavan free of cost.
4. Maximum of three meals for one person free to cost at Katra/Bhavan.
5. Prashad.

Category B

Cost: Rs. 48,000

No. of Persons Allowed:  2

Facilities offered under the package:

1. Aarti Darshan for 2 people.
2. One two bedded AC Room in Niharika free of cost.
3. One two bedded room at Bhavan free of cost.
4. Maximum of three meals for two people free to cost at Katra/Bhavan.
5. Prashad.

Category C

Cost: Rs. 71,000

No. of Persons Allowed:  3

Facilities offered under the package:

1. Aarti Darshan for 3 people.
2. One four bedded AC Room in Niharika free of cost.
3. One four bedded room at Bhavan free of cost.
4. Maximum of three meals for three people free to cost at Katra/Bhavan.
5. Prashad.

Category D

Cost: Rs. 1,21,000

No. of Persons Allowed:  5

Facilities offered under the package:

1. Aarti Darshan for 5 people.
2. One four bedded AC Room and one two bedded AC Room in Niharika free of cost.
3. One four bedded room and two bedded room at Bhavan free of cost.
4. Maximum of three meals for five people free of cost at Katra/Bhavan.
5. Prashad.

NOTE:

1. The maximum number of persons allowed during this pujan is five and they all should be members of the same family. Plus prior permission of the Board authorities is mandatory.
2. This poojan can be booked in advance. However, spot booking is also available which depends on slot availability.
3. Only two children (below ten years of age) will be accommodated free under B, C and D categories. One child (below ten years of age) will be accommodated free under category A.
4. Additional amount of ₹21,000/- per devotee will be charged on the occasion of Navratri.
5. Devotees can check the transactions status at devotee zone by entering their username and password.
6. Once the poojan is confirmed it cannot be cancelled, postponed or preponed.
