Constructed during the Chand Dynasty, Baleshwar Temple is located within the Champawat city, Uttarakhand. Known for its marvellous carvings, this temple, has been declared as a National Heritage Monument since 1952 by the Archaeological Survey of India. The main deity worshipped here is Lord Shiva; however, there are two other smaller temples in the same compound, one dedicated to Champawati Durga and the other to Ratneshwar.
