Badrinath Temple is a Hindu Temple in Uttarakhand dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This town and the temple itself are a part of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Because of the extreme weather conditions in the Himalayan Region, this temple is open for six months every year for worship.

Badrinath Temple Mythology

According to a famous legend, here Lord Vishnu decided to meditate and Goddess Lakshmi protected him from the extreme weather using a Badri Tree, and thus this name of the temple came into being.
