Amunthirathu Devi Temple is dedicated to Goddess Sree Bhadra Kali. The holy shrine is situated in Thiruvananthapuram. It is an ancient temple that enshrines a Krishna Shila idol of the Goddess Amunthirathamma, an incarnation of Goddess Bhadra Kali. The fierce Goddess is in Ardha padmasana (a Yoga pose), Andarmugha (thinking with closed eyes) and char bahu.
The Sree Kovil of Amunthirathu temple is in Pandya Kovil structure like the ones in Kannaki temples of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It is surrounded by a cloistered Prakara, pierced at one or more cardinal points with only one Gopuradwara. There is a Namaskara mandapam located in front of the sanctum, and it exhibits the artistic excellence. Chuttambalam surrounds Sree Kovil. There is a kitchen, Mukha mandapam, Dwaja Stambham, Balipeetam, temple tank and a courtyard with sub-deities namely Ganapathy, Nagar, Brahmarakshas, Yogeeshwaran, Navagraha and Madan Thampuran.
